Hello everyone
I am new to this forum, I am a student in the last semester of my bachelor's degree in Renewable Energy and Environmental Engineering. In my bachelor's thesis I have to simulate the heat losses of a heat storage tank that is placed in a lake. I thought I could use CFX, in which I have already gained experience. However, the client wants me to work with "Fluent with Fluent Meshing" ![]() ![]() 1) I have created a CAD file in which I create the different parts (storage, insulation and lake/pool) with an assembly. 2. I do not have a typical fluent problem, it is primarily about heat losses and not about flows, the water in the storage tank, in the insulation and in the lake is still. 3. what do I have to consider when defining the mesh (especially with "Describe Geometry" and "Update Boundaries" and "Update Regions")? 4. what is important when solving the simulation (transient). How can I simulate the heat loss from the storage tank via the insulation into the lake? I have activated the energy equations and the flow model k-Omega. I would really appreciate a little help ![]() |
