Default Order Criteria and Convergence rates

Are there any useful grid diagnostics one can learn from in a quick convergence of a 1st order solution to a second order solution that does not converge? The problem is a housed prop unit with multiple frames of reference. This is the first time this has happened so far.

Thanks for any comments,

Erich
