Roughness Constant

Hi all!

Could somebody tell me what roughness constant means? I have no idea about it and what value should I specfic. Tahnk you!

Roughness constant is usually used when the type of surface becomes important like in pipe flows where the surface roughness is an important factor in calculation of friction factor. You can look up in any introductory fluid mechanics books for moody diagram and pipe flow.
