How do I create a neutral file in GAMBIT?
And what does f.volume mean? First of all I create a lot of volumes (in my case up to 4000), then mesh it and export ''mesh'' it as *.msh compatible with FLUENT. Then I experimented with the import ''mesh'' option which then gives me a total of 7 ''f.volumes''. What is going on? and why did I go from >4000 to 7 volumes just by export - import?? I guess people are thinking 'why are you doing this'. I will explain; In the cases that im working on, many volumes is often the trick to be able to generate the right geometry. It could be gas distribution screens or flow through filter bags(in most cases >2000 of these cylindrical bags). Thus im looking for a method that gives me the ability to copy and insert volumes with mesh and boundary zones effectively. Doing this by normal procedure with GAMBIT takes forever. STAR-CD is copying up to 4000 of the mentioned bag volumes with boundary zones in 5 seconds. GAMBIT is currently runing on the 24 hour on a similar copying proces. And guys, sweeping of faces is not the answer, because i need the boundary condition. It is not possible to sweep a boundary condition.. Any one that have had the same copy/paste problems??? I would like to hear your solutions? Is it CCM ? Best Regards Kasper Skriver Engineer @ FLS Airtech - DK |
