Hi Guys,
I need to make a finite element analysis for a rubber compression mold through Abaqus -I was trying but failed-,I dont really understand, how could I do it, let give you a little summary, of it. Process A pre-weighed, generally preformed piece of material / compound is placed in the mould : the mould is closed, with the sample under pressure as it vulcanizes Cavity pressure is maintained by slightly over filling the mould & holding it closed in a hydraulic press. Constant heat is provided by electric heatess, thermic fluid or steam Best Regards. Pablo Ulloa |

Finite element analysis (FEA) is a reliable method of predicting whether a proposed design will be able to meet set design specifications, prior to manufacture. The two main types methodologies which are applied to identify this are linear and non-linear analysis.
In simple terms, FEA indicates whether a product will work, where and how it will wear out, and whether it is likely to perform to your expectations. If you are looking to learn more about finite element analysis, looking at websites for manufacturers who use FEA software can be quite resourceful as they often speak in a language that’s geared towards engineers and manufacturers. For example, I was able to better my understanding of non-linear FEA from a rubber manufacturing company called Martins Rubber as they use non-linear methodologies and software for polymers. Hope this helps gives you a better understanding. |

'am unable to understand your concern, is it issue with the vulcanization or finish material properties.
Kindly elaborate... We are into molding, extruding of rubber products since last 40years and specialized in Neoprene(CR) and Silicone material. You can check on webpage properties of most often used rubbers. |
