Very impressed with the performance from Epyc here.

I'm trying to save $300 on my FloTHERM build by using the 7281 (32 MB L2 cache) instead of the 7301 (64 MB cache).

Think the cache size difference matters for CFD? I'm guessing not. Maybe it does for Keyshot (ray-tracing) however.
