Dear KKpal and Philiph,

many thanks for your posts. I'm working with the same problem about flow past a circular cylinder. I would like to know to what St number my case is converged. What shall I add in my files to know that?

I am simulating flow around cylinder at Re=100.

my case setup is like this:
D=1, U=1, nu=0.01, no turbulence model.

I'm looking forward your help please

Maimouna, you need to measure the frequency! Get any value that shows you the frequency, such as pressure at some point, or the force on the cylinder, velocity at some point... and plot this over time. Now you can just calculate Strouhal number. Since D and u=1 the frequency (in Hz) is the Strouhal number in your case.

Many thanks for your prompt reply.

Do you mean that I could get it by using plotOverLine?

Could you explain more please?

I don't know which tool you use (Fluent, Openfoam, CFX, ...).

Many thanks Philipp. I got it. I'm using OpenFOAM tool.
