Hello All,

I am trying to run a simple liquid sloshing case. Initial liquid level is about 40% diameter of simple sphere. The CFD run is setup such that the liquid level initially is inclined and after one time step it sloshes under influence of gravity (acting downwards). My intention is to calculate the dominant frequencies. This can be obviously obtained by FFT of time history of force acting sideways on the tank walls. Apart from this I would like to calculate the sloshing mass and fixed mass (ref: Pendulum slosh analogy). It would be great if anyone can provide the relations to calculate the sloshing/fixed masses and subsequent pendulum lengths.

Thanks you

I am also trying to do sloshing in a rectangular tank. But the loading is harmonic acceleration. I am new to CFD and would like to do FSI. Can you please provide material for pendulum analogy for sloshing if you get the solution.

Regards.
