Hooman is on a distinguished road
I am trying to write a simple code that models a 1D bar (mass-spring system) constrained to move or rotate on one side and with an applied force F(t) on the other side. I know how to mode this with FEA, but I am interested to see how to model this with FVM and how the results would differ. I have already written a code with both FEA and FVM but the difference between the results is quite significant.

One particular thing I am not sure about, is how in FEA the force is applied on the boundary, and that with FVM the force would need to be applied at the end node. Right now I have just set it at the end node which is not quite the same as applying it at the boundary.

I appreciate any hints ASAP.

Best Regards,
