Hi Everyone,
I am using cfx to do some turbomachinary problems (Fluid coupling, centrifugal pump ) . I am new to this software and have some basic questions to which I couldn't find solutions anywhere. 1. When I give interface between two domains (pump and turbine). Do they have to touch each other ? or Can they have some gap between them ? 2. If I have two different assemblies in single domain and they are touching each other , should I have to give them interface in CFX? or the interfaces are meant only to different domains ? 3. I have cylindrical body and within it I have a rectangular part. This rectangular wall rotates with some RPM about Z axis. Now Can I select all four surfaces together and provide rotating wall boundary or should I have to select two walls parallel and two walls perpendicular to Z axis separately and give the rotating wall boundary condition? . Because I had problem when I tried giving rotating wall to all 4 surfaces of the rectangle. Kindly advice It will be great if anyone clarify my doubts. Thanks Archep |
