Hi CFD users!
I am trying to implement a 3D script in MATLAB which deals with a wing with winglets so as to solve an optimization problem. I think I have introduced properly the equations (Aerodynamic for engineers, Bertin), but my problem is that the lift distribution I get turns to be odd in the winglets. It is really weird, because from my point of view the algorithm works properly for the rest of the wing (you can check the images, both correspond to the same case, one plot (wing+winglets) and the other (wing)). The wing is modelised like a planar wing and the winglet are the only elements which go to the 3rd dimension. Can you give me a piece of advice? As far as I know, I cannot use Tornado combined with the optimization toolbox of MATLAB, because this toolbox works only with executable functions. Thank you very much for your time. |
