Hi all,
I am studying a well known book named "Molecular gas dynamics". A graph is depicted and it is mentioned in the book that the graph is plotted using the formula. I have plotted this formula with Matlab, but it is not the same as those mentioned in the reference!! plz let me know that if I m wrong |

Even assuming your attempt at the plot is giving the red curves as results (but I don't think so, which makes them even more confusing), we don't really have any instruments to help you. How can we know where your error is?
The only thing we can do is doing it ourselves and then reporting our finding. But this is not even remotely interesting enough to promote such activity. What YOU can do instead: 1) take terms separately and check them. do they fit your previous knowledge on the specific function? 2) watch carefully to the parenthesis. The second term in the square brackets has a very annoying term with curly braces in it, but this has nothing to do with the sin argument preceding it 3) No matter what, trigonometric functions arguments are in radians, but you can obviously plot them in degree terms |
