Hi!

I am looking for literature data for the flow resistance (and heat transfer) of a number of parallel aligned finite length cylinder in turbulent axial flow.

It is something like a rod bundle. I need the resistance of the inflow (around the top surfaces), the parallel flow and the outflow (around the back surface).

Thank you!!
Ralf

Have a look in Zukauskas book "Tube Banks in Crossflow" or in his chapter in "Advances in Heat Transfer" 1987.

Hi!

as i understood, this is about cylinder in cross flow.

But i need data for cylinder(s) in axial flow!

Especially for a larger number of them (something like 100-500), aligned axis-parallel, depending on the cylinder diameter, the length and the distance between them.

The data should include the edges of the cylinder...

Thanks..
Ralf

Sorry, I missed the point that the flow is parallel to the cylinders...
