I'm looking for validation cases for thermal radiation models in non-participating media from small to very complex geometries (millions of surfaces). Does anyone know where such cases are published?

Christian,

I have sent you by e-mail an extract of a report on this issue including 4 simple cases.

I hope it is useful, Rami

Hi Rami,

Could not you send your 4 simple cases to me too. I concern with Monte Carlo models of radiation in transparent media. Thank you. Leon.

Hello, I'm interested to validate the non-gray case. can found with you a simple case to validate my FVM code? I work in cylindrical enclosures and I need the monochromatic radiative properties and the temperature field. Thank you in advance

Ahmed,

I am not sure I understand what you are asking for. If you use FVM, does it mean you wish to solve a participating medium? If so, the abovementioned test cases are irrelevant, as they apply to surface-to-surface radiation only. You also mentioned "monochromatic radiative properties and the temperature field". What exactly do you need here?

Please elaborate further on what you are asking for.

Rami
