engahmed Member engahmed Join Date: Mar 2010 Location: Canada,Ontario Posts: 31 Rep Power: 16	Hi, I have a question about heat transfer from an isothermal horizontal cylinder placed in porous media. I am wondering why flow in the vertical direction, and formation of the plume produces higher Nusselt number than if the flow was in the horizontal direction? does it do with the gravitational acceleration?
