For the newly released version of foam -extend, 4.1, three tutorials of the immersed boundary method can not run in parallel. They are movingCylinderInChannelTurbulent, refiningMovingCylinderInChannelTurbulent and refiningMovingCylinderInChannelIco. For the former two tutorials, there are several missing keywords for the dynamicMeshDict file and the omega file. But another problem arises after the these missing keywords being added, that is :
--> FOAM FATAL IO ERROR: [2] Inconsistent patch and patchField types for field k on patch ibCylinder patch type immersedBoundary and patchField type immersedBoundaryKqRWallFunction. For the refiningMovingCylinderInChannelIco tutorial, the program just aborts after several iterations with the massage: External flow Fatal error in MPI_Recv: Message truncated, error stack: MPI_Recv(200): MPI_Recv(buf=0x16131a0, count=45, MPI_BYTE, src=2, tag=1, MPI_COMM_WORLD, status=0x7fff769ecf50) failed do_cts(553)..: Message truncated; 106568 bytes received but buffer size is 45 Has anybody encountered these problems? I don't know what to do with it. Thank you! |
