Hi Foamers,

Iam new to Open Foam. I have installed OpenFoam 2.3.0 for windows in my PC.
When i run the terminal and try to run: 'icoFoam -help' , it shows:
"error while loading shared libraries: libgcc_s_seh-1.dll: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

Can any one tell me what could be the possible reason.

With regards

Hi, Sachin!

I have never played with OpenFOAM on Windows, but from your post, it seems you haven't installed or configured your windows version OpenFOAM properly.

BTW, I think it's more like to get you problem solved if you post in the OpenFOAM/installation sub-fourm here

openfoam-installation-windows-mac

Good Luck!

Lianhua

Greetings to all!

I've moved these two posts to a new thread in the correct sub-forum (OpenFOAM Installation on Windows, Mac and other Unsupported Platforms as Lianhua indicated).

@Sachin: You will have to be more specific about which installation instructions you've followed.

Best regards,
Bruno

Hi Sachin,

i had the same problem, but i solved it, its because we have to select te following packages;

1)mingw64-x86_64-gcc-g++
2)mingw64-x86_64-zlib
3)mc

those packages we can find in the windows that appears when we areinstalling Cygwin, only we can lo copy and paste on the frame and search and select those one by one...
