5. It will compile in a few minutes or so, and then the errors should be gone.

Can anyone tell me whether wmake is a part of OpenFoam 2.2.1 or it has to be downloaded from somewhere (yes this is how bad I am with computer admin)

Quick answer:

1. Yes, it's installed by default.
2. If wmake is not working, it's possible that it's not the only thing related to OpenFOAM that isn't working. Please study this page: http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/In...with_the_Shell
