Good afternoon,

I am working on installing OpenFOAM v1812 for Windows 10. I have followed the instructions in the readme file linked from this page, but am hitting the following error when I click the "OF_Create_Env" shortcut:

Code:
Error checking TLS connection: Host is not running
Starting "default"...
(default) Check network to re-create if needed...
(default) Waiting for an IP...
Too many retries waiting for SSH to be available. Last error: Maximum number of retries (60) exceeded
Error checking TLS connection: ssh command error:
command : ip addr show
err     : exit status 255
output  :
/root/../c/Users/ellenpt1:/root/../home/ofuser/workingDir
Error checking TLS connection: ssh command error:
command : ip addr show
err     : exit status 255
output  :
exit status 255
When I manually open Docker Quickstart terminal, it does appear to have my default machine running:

Code:
ellenpt1@EWRE155PC5 MINGW64 /c/Program Files/Docker Toolbox
$ docker-machine status default
Running

ellenpt1@EWRE155PC5 MINGW64 /c/Program Files/Docker Toolbox
$ docker-machine ip default
192.168.99.100
And when I open VirtualBox manually, the default machine shows up and is currently powered off.

A few additional notes that may be helpful:
1 - I have successfully installed v1812 on my personal laptop (also a Windows 10 machine) by following the readme instructions without hitting any issues.
2 - I have tried uninstalling OpenFOAM, Docker, VirtualBox, and git and started the install from scratch a few times, but I always get stuck at the same place.
3 - I am on a computer shared among my lab group at my university.

Please let me know if I can provide any additional information. Thank you in advance for your help.

Best,
Ellen

I ended up successfully installing OpenFOAM v1812 using Ubuntu Bash instead of the Windows Installer using Docker. I'm still unsure what was wrong with my Docker/OpenFOAM install from my previous post, but this alternate solution is working well.

Best,
Ellen
