Meshing a STL File in Salome

Hi together,
I'm new to CFD Simulations and just tried to mesh my geometry with salome. Therefore I exported my geometry as STL file from AutoCAD and imported it to salome. Now in salome there are diagonal lines inside some areas, which are not shown in AutoCAD as you can see in the pictures. Now I thought it doesn't matter, as long as I choose the right areas to group my inlet and the walls to mesh it later. But when I do so and try to mesh it in salome, I can't choose 3D in the meshing window. Can anyone explain me why it doesn't work and how I can repair it? I also tried using FreeCAD to design an export my geometry but the same thing happened. Thank you Dave acad.jpg salome.jpg |
