Hi,
I'm using snappyHexMesh to generate mesh on geometry with ellipse. Unfortunately generated surface (on the side), which I'm going to use to extrude, isn't planar. So extrudeMesh gives: "Wedge patch is not planar" [see pictures]

I tired modifying number of cells in perpendicular direction from 3 to 20 and size of cells in base mesh - so these fluctuations are limited but they are still to high.

I also tried forcing snappyHexMesh to iterate longer to make mesh smoother but it didn't help a lot.

Does anybody have any idea what is wrong?

Since I was going to create more advanced geometries - I gave up and used Ansys Mesh.
