Hi all,
I'm quite new in the meshing stuff, so snappyHexMesh is a bit confusing for me. I try to create a volume with a rough surface. With blockMesh I created a Mesh with the extension of 510x510x0.06. nx=ny=510, nz = 8. Now I try to create a rough surface by two STL files, top and bottom with a z-information at every point of the mesh. Each STL has a lateral extension of 512x512 (larger than the created mesh). The problem now is, that my lateral boundaries/borders look really bad with long elements in z-direction AND/OR totally missing elements. The surfaceCheck says, that my surfaces are fine. I attached the blockMeshDict and snappyHexMeshDict. The surface-files are to large for uploading. I think it's just the settings for snappyHexMesh, but I don't really know which parameters I have to adjust. So maybe somebody could have a quick look? Thanks in advance.
