hoversoar is on a distinguished road
Hello everyone!

I am new in openfoam.
now I am doing a case of indented cylinders.
some info about my case:

D 110mm, fluid 40D, height 1.5D, Re=1.5e4.

I created the mesh by ansys meshing (all unstructured mesh), then converted it to polymesh. Then I checkMesh in the openfoam, it showed the following messages:

Checking topology...
Boundary definition OK.
Cell to face addressing OK.
Point usage OK.
<<Found 174 neighbouring cells with multiple inbetween faces.
Upper triangular ordering OK.
<<Writing 354 unordered faces to set upperTriangularFace
Face vertices OK.
Number of regions: 1 (OK).

Checking patch topology for multiply connected surfaces...
Patch Faces Points Surface topology
front 26159 51046 ok (non-closed singly connected)
back 25764 50286 ok (non-closed singly connected)
inlet 1040 2078 ok (non-closed singly connected)
outlet 1046 2090 ok (non-closed singly connected)
cylinderwalls 148572 248849 ok (non-closed singly connected)

Checking geometry...
Overall domain bounding box (-1.99996 -2 -0.0875) (1.99996 2 0.0875)
Mesh (non-empty, non-wedge) directions (1 1 1)
Mesh (non-empty) directions (1 1 1)
Boundary openness (-1.69727e-17 1.13975e-17 -1.00043e-15) OK.
Max cell openness = 3.42926e-16 OK.
Max aspect ratio = 15.5333 OK.
Minimum face area = 4.96858e-09. Maximum face area = 0.00335652. Face area magnitudes OK.
Min volume = 2.20704e-12. Max volume = 0.000161957. Total volume = 2.19728. Cell volumes OK.

Mesh non-orthogonality Max: 71.4973 average: 17.2003
*Number of severely non-orthogonal (> 70 degrees) faces: 2.
Non-orthogonality check OK.
<<Writing 2 non-orthogonal faces to set nonOrthoFaces
Face pyramids OK.
Max skewness = 2.66637 OK.
Coupled point location match (average 0) OK.

Mesh OK.

Here comes
<<Found 174 neighbouring cells with multiple inbetween faces.
Upper triangular ordering OK.
<<Writing 354 unordered faces to set upperTriangularFace
<<Writing 2 non-orthogonal faces to set nonOrthoFaces

Does anyone know whether the warnings will effect the results or not?
how can I improve my mesh to have a high quality?

thanks everyone!!!!
