Dear All,

I have a set of 3D data points that looks similar to hemisphere. I converted these datapoints to traingulated surface using MeshLab and converted to stl file.

1. But, I need to close the bottom part of the domain as shown in the Image attached. I need to do internal heat transfer based on this domain. So, How to close the entire bottom surface so as to be used for simulation?

2. Alternatively, I tried working with blockmesh and snappyHexMesh thinking that the one surface of the blockmesh will covers the bottom surface of the stl mesh and give 3D internal mesh. Well, my idea was wrong. So, how to obtain only the internal domain along with closed surface at the bottom?

I have attached the images link for reference.

1. Surface reconstructed from meshlab

2. Bottom surface that need to be closed for further mesh and simulation

3. Mesh obtained with BlockMesh and SnappyHexMesh

Any leads will be appreciated.
