Dear Foamers,
I've computed y+ for an LES case (flat channel) with the functionObject type yPlusLES during runtime and, after the computation has finished, with utility yPlusLES. The graphs (plot over line) show y+ values in spanwise (z) direction of the channel. The first picture shows the results of yPlusLES utility, yPlusLES function Object and y+ computed with class wallDistData for mesh1: Quote:
Second picture --> mesh: y-direction, height = 1m, # of cells = 100, mesh refinement (1 2 1) Third picture --> mesh: y-direction, height = 1m, # of cells = 150, mesh refinement (1 2 1) I've assumed that yPlusLES utility and yPlusLES function object imply the same method. The data basis is the same. I don't understand why there is a difference between the results of the two methods. Why decreases the difference between y+ values of the two methods if I increase the mesh resolution? Class wallDistData: Quote:
