Hello to all,
Imagine to have a long straight channel or pipe, i want to extract the velocity and pressure fields at different distances by cutting the channel with a plane parallel to my inlet and outlet .

How can i do this thing? Is there a method which is different of creating my channel with multiple blocks

FlyBob91,

This functionality is available in OpenFOAM using the surfaces function object. Using the surfaces function object, different patches and slices of the simulation can be written for desired fields and time steps independent of simulation's controlDict write time.
