Hi,

I simulated a 3d wing with back sweep and twist using simpleFOAM (SF) and pimpleFOAM (PF) at AOA from 0 to 10deg

For cd, the results for both solvers are similar and it increases as AOA increases. However, for cl, the increase is small as AOA increases, from around 0.65 at AOA = 0 to 0.77 at AOA = 10. Is this reasonable? Due to the wing twist and back sweep?

I also tried AOA at 12 and 14deg but it's almost the same.

The SF result for cl is lower than that of the PF by abt 10%, but the trend is similar.

We also tried using vortex lattice method (VLM) to do the simulation. For cd, it underpredicts compared to OF, which is expected. However, for cl, it varies from 0.2 at AOA = 2 to 0.9 at 10deg.

Any ideas? Thanks.
