Naturally, I think of timestep datafiles as simply arrays - but I can't seem to find this on the forum. I see PyFoam, but that seems more geared toward controlling OF (and residuals). So I was wondering if there is a way to import OF files (P, U, species, etc.) into Python?

This must be so easy that nobody's mentioned it...

EDIT: I suppose I should say that what I'm doing is in the smaller numbers of folks in the CFD community - numerical combustion (half my career is in that). So I have 180 chemical species in my very simple (no real aerodynamics to speak of) flow domain. I need simply to compare these 180 scalar fields. So that's 180 arrays that I will compare in various ways. The goal is to just load these into Python for comparison.
