limpideyes is on a distinguished road
I asked the following question on discourse.paraview.org. However, people answered it is more about OpenFOAM, not ParaView question. So, I posted the question below here instead of discourse.paraview.org.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello,

I am using ParaView under OpenFoam v9 with a command of paraFoam. When I represent UMagnitude, the legend shows as:

Time 0 : 1 (max is 4)
Color Legend of UMagnitude: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7

Time 1000 : 2 (max is 4)
Color Legend of UMagnitude Scale: 0, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000, 6000, 7000
This means: 0xTime Step1000, 1x 1000 ... 7 x 1000.
...

Time 4000: 4 (max is 4)
Color Legend of UMagnitude Scale: 0, 4000,... , 28000
This means that: 0xTime Step1000, 1x 4000 ... 7 x 4000.

My question is:
Is there any way that the color legend represents with the range as 0 - 7 for all time steps with an appropriate colormap scale for UMagnitude?

e.g. For all time steps from 0-4000,
Color Legend of UMagnitude: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 with
approapriate colormaps in the surfaces of my geometry

Thanks in advance!

Tobermory will become famous soon enough
If I understand correctly, to want to fix the legend scale to be constant across all time steps?

If so, then yes - that's easy - just click on the button in the Active Variable Controls toolbar (top left in Paraview, with an arrow and a C), and input your range. Or click on the button next to it and it will scan thru all the time steps to find the min/max across all time steps. Pressing either will then freeze the legend scale.
