Hi there,
I want to get explicitly the gradient and the laplacian of a variable that I want to select. For example, given a FoamFile of p or U taken like output at a given time from a certain simulation, I would like to have the terms grad(p) or grad(U) and equivalently laplacian(U)... In formulas: grad(p)=(dp/dx,dp/dy) grad(U)=[dU/dx, dU/dy;dV/dx, dV/dy] laplacian(U)=[d^2U/dx^2+d^2U/dy^2, d^2V/dx^2+d^2V/dy^2] How is it possible to have this in OF? Thank you for those who will spend 5 minutes of their time to read this post. Cheers |

One solution is to use foamCalcEx: http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Contrib_foamCalcEx
