Hi all,
I'm trying to simulate gas atomization process and currently using interFoam solver with isoAdvector geometrical advection. However due to the computational limitations, I'm looking for alternative methods.

I found an Eulerian approach proposed by Vallet et al. (A. Vallet, A. A. Burluka, and R. Borghi. Development of a eulerian model for the "atomization" of a liquid jet. Atomization and Sprays, 11(6):619–642, 2001). They proposed an single phase approach with variable density to solve for pressures and velocities and surface area density equation to obtain D32. I have seen several papers/ dissertations (by FELIS CARRASCO Francisco) discussing this method implemented in OpenFoam platform. However, I'm having some issues solving surface area density equation. I'm having a hard time initiating the value for surface area density.

I'm looking for someone who has implemented this model. Really appreciate if someone can help me with this.

Thank you,
Kalpana
