Hello everyone,
I have a geometry with 1 inlet and 3 outlets which each has a portion of flowrate goes out from them. I used outflow option in Fluent to do the simulation which works fine. Tried to do the similar thing in openfoam using flowrateInletVelocity by pre-calculating the out flow, however, since I might get some back flows at first few iterations it doesnt go through and after a few iteration the courant number just blows up! So, my question is, I guess, is there anyway that I can combine outletInlet and flowRateInletVelocity? If not, any other suggestion would be highly appreciated. Thanks Ali |

Have you tried 'advective' boundary condition? This is a condition that guarantees no backscatter
