Default Tank filling - simulation VS experiment

There are many tank filling simulations on youtube, so i decided to make on and test it with experiment. I found out it was not so easy.

So a lot of this videos on youtube are... wrong?

hello daneres,
I think the problem is the wall effects. You have a narrow physical model with a lot of wall in front and back, while the 2d simulation has no wall in front and back. I think the simulation looks good, both the physical and the simulation. maybe a 3D simulation will improve the similarity.
