Hi all,
I wanted to apply partialSlip BC to moving wall. Can any one please let me know how to assign partialSlip BC to a moving wall. I have done it like follows, type partialSlip; value uniform (0 -0.5 0); valueFraction 0.4; Here the problem is the wall to which I assigned 0.5m/s velocity is not taking the velocity. Your suggestion will be greatly appreciated Thank you. |

Hi,
What do you precisely mean by "not taking the value"? What partial slip b.c. does is that, instead of having no-slip (where velocity vector has a magnitude of 0m/s on the wall) you can prescribe the velocity to be 0.5m/s (x,y,z) on the wall boundary. I am not sure if you meant that the wall is not moving (which makes sense) or the cell face wall velocity is not 0.5m/s K |

Hi ,
Thanks for your Response. Actually the wall is moving with a velocity of 0.5m/s. But at the same time I wanna apply partial slip to wall if possible. So I am looking for a BC which facilitates both movingwallVelocity and partialslip. "Not taking velocity" means, the wall is not moving if I specify type partialSlip; value uniform (0 0.5 0); valueFraction 0.4; Thank you once again. |
