Swirl angle is a useful parameter to describe the inlet performance of a pump suction. It is defined as the ratio of tangential velocity to axial velocity.
Any expert here can explain how to calculate the swirl angle for a given plane in Paraview (possibly based on the calculator filter)? Is it necessary to do the calculation based on the vorticity results, or just the velocity results are used? Thanks a lot. |

Any expert here can advise?
Is it appropriate to use the surface integral of vorticity (curl) to find the average tangential velocity? |
