Hi everyone,
I have a sliding mesh simulation of an airfoil, the simulation has finished and everything was good so far until I encountered these issues: * When I use OpenFOAM 6 to compute the forces (using forces function object), the forces are outputed in a global cartesian coordinate system (not in the local system of the rotating cell zone). * But using OpenFOAM 7, to compute the forces, the results are in the "local" coordinate system (attached to the rotating zone itself). * By inspecting the source code of forces function object I can't find any meaningful change that causes that difference. * I've also used OpenFOAM v2006 and I confirm that it has the same behaviour as OpenFOAM6 (we can also find that clearly stated in the documentation of OpenFOAM v2006 that the global cartesian coordinate system is used). Do you know any reference when OpenFOAM7 made this change? how to turn off this behaviour of OpenFOAM7? I am grateful to any help. Thank you |
