Greetings ehsankf,

I've moved your post to a new thread and placed it in the global ParaView forum.

As for your question: it depends on how you're are building and/or using Qt!
In order to help you further, it would be good to know:
  1. Are you building Qt from source code?
  2. If you're not building from source code, then how did you install Qt?
  3. And which Linux Distribution are you using?
  4. Do you want to use QtTesting with ParaView?
Best regards,
Bruno

I've just built libvtk*Python.so CMakeLists.txt file. It seemed to build fine, but when I attempt to install libvtk*Python.so it fails on linux builds.

You are not providing much information to work with
  1. What instructions are you trying to follow?
  2. How did you build "libvtk*Python.so"?
  3. How did you try to do the installation?
You didn't answer any of my previous questions, so I'm completely unable to do a proper guess on what you're exactly trying to do!

In the following directory
/opt/ThirdParty-2.1.1/build/linuxGcc/paraview-3.12.0/Qt/Testing
I enter make and get following
[100%] Built target QtTesting
[100%] Built target TestingDemo
and after make install, I got
Install the project...
-- Install configuration: "Release"
-- Up-to-date: /opt/ThirdParty-2.1.1/platforms/linuxGcc/paraview-3.12.0/lib/paraview-3.12/libQtTesting.so
but python can not load QtTesting.

Finally! Now I understand

OK, I did a bit of research and what's missing is to set "PARAVIEW_TESTING_WITH_PYTHON" to "ON". Without it, the Python module for QtTesting is not built by default.
