yaakov,

Paraview allows you to change the transparency by clicking on the "Edit Color Bar" icon in the tool bar. This will extend options involving what color and transparency the user wants in the "Mapping Data" interactive image.

Hi Joshua,

thanks very much for your answer!
I try to define the color for max value (click color box). I can get here only white color not transparency...

yaakov,

Can you upload a full image of the paraview GUI where your having the issue with the edit color bar section open? Also if there is a way to make it bigger then a thumbnail that would help.

Thank you,
Joshua

yaakov,

Using the Mapping Data interface in Color map editor will handle the transparency. Make sure that "Enable opacity mapping for surfaces" is checked. The image attached shows an example where my max values are transparent.

Hope this helps,
Joshua

Hallo Joshua,

thanks very much!

I have checked "Enable opacity mapping for surfaces"...

see test results (neu JPG), but I can only get the values in the surface. I am sure that the displacement value are not zeros in the valume as I use dirichlet boundary to enforce zero values.

Kind Regards, Yaakov

yaakov,

You could use a Theshold filter so that you only display values on a certain range. Then use the transparency on the scalar bar after that.

Best Regards,
Joshua
