Crack problems again

In a 2D model I got that previously refered problem of the cracks check. I've made the refinements with Integral Couples still I got errors.
Take this example: There are two attached cells (four vertices connecting). If there was a crack problem wouldn't there exist more than the four vertices in the conecting region? Meaning that the cells weren't truly connected, and there was an empty space between them? Thanks. Carlos |

I dont know what you are doing with your mesh, but if you still have the unrefined mesh you can use "cmrefine" together with "cmro" instead of "crefine".
During the cmrefine the couples are created automatically. |

The crack check will only report cracks (ie discontinuities in the mesh) if the vertices are not correctly merged together or a valid couple is not present between the cells. Running the check will isolate the cells that fail the above two criteria so that you can plot them. Have a close look at the the vertices of the cells that fail the check, plus any couples attached to the faces (CPSET,NEWS,CSET,ANY$CSET,NEWS,CPSET$CPLOT). Try merging the vertices using VMERGE or re-defining the couples using the CP command. Lastly, make sure you don't have double cells in your mesh, which could show up the problem you are seeing.
