Greetings,
is there any easy way to count cells (control volumes) within a specific volumetric control? Or do I have to do a sum of cells in a specific region? e.g. -10<X<10 (I only have 1 region defined) Thanks in advance!

If the zone can be defined as easy as -10<X<10, you can simply create a Threshold with that definition and run an "Element Count" Report on it.
If it's a block like type volume, I guess under Representations->Volume Mesh-> Cell Set you can create a Cell Set with Type "Range". This should allow you to specify the min- and max-Corner value. Under Properties you should see the number of cells contained. If it's an arbitrary closed shape, then there is no easy way to get the cells contained afaik. The simplest solution should then be to mesh the interior of the closed volume temporarily in and to use a volume data mapper to map an arbitray field function from that volume to your actual one. This will mark the cells that overlap. Use that field function for a threshold and count the cells contained. |

Thanks I got it. Used a binary field function and then used a sum report
