Hi everyone!
I'm a bigginer in STAR CCM+ and I've been trying to create an overset mesh on a 2D NACA0012 airfoil for variable angle of attack. I'm looking for a simple tutorial or example to get started with overset meshing.

There is no direct tutorial for Overset mesh in CCM guide. But it is not as difficult as it sounds. If you have any experience with sliding meshes, then it is somewhat similar. Only we have to specify the Overset interface and it will automatically creates the mesh. For understanding how Overset works, there is lifeboat in Overset mesh tutorial. Try that. It will give an enough idea about Overset working.



Then create separate regions for background mesh and Overset mesh. Then in Overset region just select appropriate surface as Overset interface and you are done.
Also try to read documentation available on Steve Portal about Overset mesh.
