Hi guys,

I am new to StarCCM+ and trying to do some mesh repairs in "Surface repair". But the Options are quite new and there are very less YouTube Videos on this Topic.
Could anyone suggest me any tutorials that would help me? It is really needed and I would be glad to see any help materials/ links.

Thank you,
Arul.

Hi Arul,

I am not sure if you have worked with any pre processing software earlier. I find the surface repair tool otpions to be similar to ANSA preprocessor. Except, I find ANSA more sophisticated. There are options like select edges, faces and also closed edges and I think you can get a hang of it very soon.

In case if you aren´t findnig any video tutorials, you can either search in the StarCCM+ documentation as "Surface Repair User Interface" or you can check if you can have access to the Steve portal where there could be someone to support.

All the best!

Regards,
Jalvathi

Hi Arul,

You can do the tutorial for "Brake Assembly". I think it has covered all major surface repair options.

Thank you Jalvathi.
Unfortunately, I don't have any Prior experience with ANSA. In StarCCM+, I can do the Basic opertaions in Surface repair but not with respect to geometry modification. For example, if i have to Import or create a new part and adapt the exisiting mesh based on the new geometry. This is where I am lacking Information.
