dP=Pin - Pout
Pout=0 Pa, as Default >> if your outlet pressure is equal to the reference pressure (atmospheric pressure) so dP=Pin Your avaraged inlet boundary will give you pressure drop .. Create plot as Area Avaraged.. select your part as inlet boundary, select Pressure as Scalar Value.. then right click and Create Plot and Monitor from Report.. you will get the pressure drop vs the iterations.. |

Thanks
I check it. I'm a new beginner in ccm+, after it was easy in Star-CD. Reference pressure and reference cell under Monitoring (Star-guide). Nevertherless thanks, and what about flow split outlet? |

ok I check it. The result give only the static pressure drop. I want the total pressure drop.
Please who can I calculate the total pressure drop? Thanks CFD users |

Hello All,
I am not very new to Starccm simulations. But the current project in which I am working needs to plot the Pressure drops at various surface areas. My colleague have already run the simulations and the mass flow averaged reports is created and from that the monitor and plot have been created for all the surface areas which are needed. I need to plot the pressure drop in the Y axis with the surface area names in the X axis, so that I can show the Pressure drop at various sections. Can anyone help me to create the Graph? Thanks and regards, Jalvathi. |

I hope your Problem is already sorted out. If not, then this would help you. Since the montiors for all Surface Areas are already done. Just Export those Monitors and average the values. Then you would get for each Surface area, a pressure value. Finally in Excel, you can plot These values versus Surface names. Thanks, Arul |

In case I don't know the outlet Pressure, but I have constrained the mass flow, how could I be obtaining a Pressure drop btw inlet and outlet of 340 Pa, while setting an average pressure values on inlet and outlet, I obtain 30 and -1000 Pa. Isn't the pressure drop the difference btw these average pressure values? Thanks in advance |

I know, I know, the pressure drop report is the one giving 340 Pa. However, if I look to the pressure values at both locations are more similar to those obtained in the surface average values.
