I am trying to analyse the viscoplastic behavior of Stainless steel in ansys workbench, and i dont know how to define material parameters for anand Viscoplastic model. And I am not sure, which parameters to add on, so that the steel can exhibit the viscoplastic behaviour. I am using ansys 17 workbench.

In the static/transient structure module, there is an option for "Engineering data". Use this to define the desired properties.

Unfortunately the Perzyna and Peirce model is not directly implemented in Ansys workbench. But as you mentioned it is available in APDL classic.
What you can simply do add the material properties under the geometrical definition with an APDL snippet (command object > rmb on your part > insert > command object). There you can add the Perzyna model using the apdl command as you do in APDL classic. “ C1 = 0.8 ! Hardening param C2 = 0.1 ! Viscosity param TB, RATE, matid,1,2,perzyna TBDATA,,C1,C2 Tblist, all, all “ If you need temperature dependent material use the TBTEMP command. Have fun |
