Hey everyone,

Trying to use SU2_DEF to create a new 2D mesh with 2D FFD box from mesh_NACA0012_inv using the same steps as the 3D Onera Wing tutorial and this post here:

What I did:

1) Added this after the last line of my mesh_NACA0012_inv.su2 file:

FFD_NBOX = 1
FFD_NLEVEL = 1
FFD_TAG = WING
FFD_LEVEL = 0
FFD_DEGREE_I = 25
FFD_DEGREE_J = 1
FFD_PARENTS = 0
FFD_CHILDREN = 0
FFD_CORNER_POINTS = 4
1.1 -0.1
-0.1 -0.1
-0.1 0.1
1.1 0.1
FFD_CONTROL_POINTS = 0
FFD_SURFACE_POINTS = 0

2) Changed my .cfg file to have these settings:
DV_KIND= FFD_SETTING
DV_MARKER= ( airfoil )

3) In directory, SU2_DEF myconfigfile.cfg

End Result: No errors, but nothing seems to happen really. No new mesh is output to the directory and the log file (attached) says it cannot find an FFD box in the SU2 file (even though I thought the whole point of the =FFD_SETTING run was to take inputs from the baseline .su2 and create a new one with the FFD box).

I guess I am not using the latest latest release (released 13 days ago) but I did download SU2 last month.

I think there is something strange in the config file that you are using, please find attached a file ready to run the FFD SETTING.

And... could you please try again with the latest version of the code 3.2.7 that you can find in the develop branch https://github.com/su2code/SU2/tree/develop

Anyway we are simplifying the FFD creation boxes, at the end of the week there will be a new methodology implement in the code.
