Hello,

I want to use the discrete adjoint solver to obtain sensitivities without doing the shape optimization. Could you please let me know how I can turn off the shape optimization subroutine so when the adjoint solver converges the simulation ends and writes the sensitivities to the output file?

Thanks.

Hi,

I think that you could already use the surface_sens.dat and volume_sens.dat files?
These files contain the nodes within the (surface of) the mesh together with their sensitivity vectors.

Kind regards,
Ole
