Hey everyone,
I'm trying to run SU2 for a supersonic aircraft design problem, and I'm trying to get the equivalent area of the aircraft for sonic boom minimization. I used the EQUIV_AREA = YES option, but I can't make sense of the others. How do I get a plot of this, varying with the x-coordinate? If I need to provide any more information, please let me know. Thanks |

When I try to run an equivalent area calculation for a supersonic aircraft, I'm unable to obtain any results.
EQUIV_AREA= YES EA_INT_LIMIT= ( 0, 35, 0.5 ) EA_SCALE_FACTOR= 1.0 FIX_AZIMUTHAL_LINE= 90.0 Here are the options I'm using. Are the integration limits dimensional or non-dimensionalized? How is the Azimuthal angle defined? How do I obtain an output equivalent area as a function of x? The only mention of equivalent area in the output is in the history.csv file (attached). Can someone help me out? Thanks a lot! |
