This is probably a very trivial question but I am not able to figure it out by myself...how to create streamlines and color them by velocity contour values in Tecplot?
thank you Andrea |

Perhaps the "trick" that you are not aware of is that the streamlines or streamtraces must have a volume before one can contour them.
So in the Streamtraces menu on the "Position" tab select "Volume Ribbon" or "Volume Rod" (and not "Volume Line"), and then in the "Rod/Ribbon" tab check "Show Contour Flood" and the variable that you want to flood by, i.e. velocity. Scott |

Hi Scott,
thank you for your reply. I have just solved the problem in another way: Under "Streamtrace Details" -> Line -> Line Color select Multi 1 in the bottom left corner of the window and it will color the streamlines with the selected contour variable. Andrea |
