Hi Everyone!!
I'm trying to analyse a combustion chamber in ANSYS Fluent 18

I have a problem mesh writing.
When I click the "Generate Mesh",ANSYS says this error:

・A mesh control is not associated to any geometry.
Project>Model>Mesh>Sweep Method (Chamber-Top)

・A mesh control is not associated to any geometry.
Project>Model>Mesh>Sweep Method (Piston-Inflation)

・A mesh control is not associated to any geometry.
Project>Model>Mesh>Sweep Method (Piston-Inner)

・A mesh control is not associated to any geometry.
Project>Model>Mesh>Sweep Method (Chamber-Bottom)

I already tried to remake the engine model, but i get a same error.

This is the error which i got.
https://ibb.co/b4bfRR

How can I resolve this error?
Can anyone help me?

Thank you!!

Did you define your Source and you are still getting this error ? Src/Trg Selection is set to Manual.

Thank you for reply.

I defined source,but I still get error.

I think I have some problems in engine model which I made in SolidWorks.
Because when I used the engine model without piston bowl,I don't get error.

When you right click the Mesh -> Show -> Sweepable Bodies you can see the problematic geometry.
What i would do in your situation is first, i will define the geometry which is not sweepable and what is causing the problem.
Then either i fix it in 3D modeling or i would use Virtual Topology in ANSYS.
Another suggestion is that using multizone the part that you can't sweep.

Hope it helps.

I had also faced the similar problem, but later while checking with the meshing tree, i found that I had missed defining no. of elements to an edge. That showed the (?) question mark symbol, because of which the error message was displayed.

Yes, I can confirm. If you get this error, look for question mark (?) in mesh tree and fix it.
