Hello everyone
I have successfully validated an RCCI engine and now I want to find out that how much sprayed fuel at each time step is ready to be burnt or the amount of fuel that has been evaporated at each time step. I have difficulty in this area please point me in the right direction. I am using converge 2.4.19 version and the engine I am working on is a single cylinder CFR engine.

Hi,

The evaporated fuel species mass is written in spray.out file (spray_region**.out file if you are interested in region specific information).

Thanks,
Nitesh

dear Nitesh
thanks for putting in the time and effort to answer.
I have checked the spray.out file and yet I dont see the evaporation info. i send you a photo of the all the info I can find in spray.out file. I would appreciate if you check the photo and give me tips.
again thank you in advance for your efforts.

Hello,

My apologies as I misunderstood your question. I thought you were interested in the breakdown of how the mass if the surrogate fuel species that will be evaporated. After looking at the image you shared it was clear that you were not looking for it but rather the amount of fuel species evaporated.

The actual evaporated mass of the fuel species is not available. You may be able to get this information via UDF or get an estimate of it by performing a simulation without combustion.

Thanks,

Thanks,
thanks for your time and guidance. so I have to try to write a UDF then.
